Regenerative Architecture
A regenerative building is designed to maintain a life sustaining relationship with its surrounding environment. All of its needs, including thermal comfort, water, energy production, and contained sewage are sustained on-site, while creating a healthy environment. Further components of regenerative architecture include repairing damaged environments by restoring a site's hydrology, native plant and wildlife habitats, and biodiversity. A regenerative building can also produce more energy than it consumes, which can be shared with the surrounding community, and provide opportunities for growing food.
With regenerative architecture, humans are reconnected to the natural world, living in a way which has a net-positive effect on the environment.
