Lisamarie has had excellent professional experiences working with the following flute makers, repair people and organizations, and is confident in recommending them.

Professional Flutes

Lisamarie has performed on professional Muramatsu flutes since High School and enjoys the quality of craftsmanship, the abundant obtainable tonal colors and subtleties, and the feel of the instrument in her hands! She currently plays on the Solid Silver DS Model Muramatsu with an offset G, Eb roller and C# gizmo. The head joint is a solid silver, carved wingtip with excellent response and fullness of sound. The professionals at Muramatsu are extremely helpful when it comes to assisting one in finding a flute.

Beginner & Intermediate Flutes

Yamaha Flutes and Piccolos for the beginner and intermediate student are highly recommended. The sound in all three octaves is fantastic and these instruments are sturdy, not needing constant repairs. Especially if the student takes care of the instrument. Here are a few suggestions and recommended models:

BEGINNER STUDENT MODEL

  • Yamaha YFL-221 - Student model, all silver plated, plateau (closed hole), C footjoint.

INTERMEDIATE MODELS

  • Yamaha YFL-361H Sterling silver headjoint, silver plated body, footjoint and keys, french (open hole), offset G, B footjoint

  • Yamaha YFL-461H Sterling silver headjoint, body and footjoint, silver plated keys, french (open hole), offset G, B footjoint
